For those who need a good thrill for the weekend breaks, I have just the thing. Why not catching up with some friends and making your way over to the movie theater? Yeah, yeah, I know you want to say “There’s nothing good out”. Well, I have just the movies that just may change that opinion.

For my Michael Jackson fans, this is it, literally. The new movie starring the iconic pop singer “This Is It” which was released on October 28th, is officially in theaters now. But don’t just wait around, because this concert film is supposedly only in cinemas for two weeks. Yep, you heard right. Two weeks! For those who don’t know, this film is of course about the late singer Michael Jackson’s last concert. The debut of this concert was supposed to be in London, but due to his death, the concert has been extended to spectators and fans worldwide. This movie captures the essence of Jackson preparing for this spectacular piece and the work that went on behind the scenes. “This Is It” will present many of the classic songs that we all have come to learn and love such as “Billie Jean” and “Thriller”, but with a whole new modern twist. Along with the great oldies, Michael was going to give us a glimpse of his latest work. This concert will feature some of his new songs such as the radio smashing “This Is It”. To many of us, Michael Jackson was not only a superstar, he grew up with all of us. He made all of this wonderful music that matured with us all and this is our last time to see him perform like never before.

Now, every once in awhile everyone likes to see a good, heart warming, inspirational movie. Well, this film just may be the one we have all been waiting for. Precious is a film based on Clareece “Precious” Jones. The life of an obese African-American sixteen year old girl in her junior high school years. Clareece is pretty much born in a life where she feels no love, kindness or self worth. She is both sexually and physically abused. When the movie begins, she is pregnant with her second child, her first born belongs to her father and has Down Syndrome. Clareece believes that she is loved by no one and will never amount to anything. Until she is finally introduced to an alternative school where she meets a teacher that will show her that she is loved and that everyone is good for something, even her.

So, have you changed your opinion? Make your way over to the movies and see exactly how these films turn out.
