I think you got ripped off. A 7K60 is only about 150. And its the best lappy drive on the market right now (correct me if I'm wrong). What benefits do a UATA-166 drive give? It doesn't seem worth it to me.

1000mbits ahh!! ultra fast loading times, of course my battery would run out in an hour

Hypothetically speaking, yes. Technically speaking, no. (1000mb=1gb, but 1024mb=1giB) Software (Windows) usually detects a gb as a gib, which is why users usually "lose" space on their hard drives. For example, if you have a 40gb HD, if you check your stats in My Computer, it should say something like 37.6 gb.

To ScriptBlue: Which drive are you talking about? I know scuzzy = SCSI, but you're being kind of vague. 1000 mbits?

they're for network main frames, it's just a wish, but i really need a new hdd!
