If one were to want a CD key, one should open up a P2P program and download a key generator, and it is suggested that one search:

windows keygen
windows cd key
xp keygen
etc.

Also, since this is somewhat illegal, if anyone has a CD Key they wouldn't mind "misplacing," PM or IM to a person who may want to "find it."

(Yeah, I know, I'm a legal freak.)

If someone has a brand new dell that came with a cd of XP, it's in use. What key do you think they use on the WIndows pre-installed? BTW: legally you have to call MS and ask their permission to uninstall/reinstall windows;-)

I know that, but at the current moment, no on-the-record illegal activity has been done in this thread (I'd like to keep it that way), we're assuming he is going to call Windows.

Of course it's not a back-up copy. I bought it myself. It's the original copy. I'll call them up and download the cy-key generator. Oh yeah, yes there is a limit. I don't know how much but there is.

Edit: 8:02
Does anybody have the orginal setup file of a cd-key generator that they can send me?

Dannyboii, dont call microsoft and say "yeah i got this key-gen and windows wont activate". Even if you can get a valid key (realtively easy) you still need to activate it. You need a activation crack and what not
