idk why, but mySQL won't let me access it at all, it always says
Access denied for user 'ScriptBlue'@localhost to database test

help me! i'm using mySQL 4.0.x with Win XP professional

did you set the correct password and that config file?

Maybe you messed something up in the config file. read the whole config file maybe it's set to dissallow all users.

my head hurts, i just finished reading a text document that was 4MBs meaning that i read about 4,000,000 characters, ouch! there are a bunch of things i need to configure, freaken' piece of !@#$

First, use a real server and use MySQL for what it was designed for, Linux/Unix :P..

anyway, try connecting as root (that's what you do on linux) with no pass. Are you giving a password for that account, the one you are using?

i got past that part thanks neway
the stupid thing just wouldn't want to launch the grant tables, so i had to "tweak" the program a bit
