i used spybot sd to delete all the files that had spyware on it. after that it keeps giving me this msg after i open any .exe file

This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel.

Then how did you open your browser to post this?

System Restore. You deleted some DLL files.

I'm gonna go with ZoSo on this one. System restore is your best shot.

Windows XP: Keep pressing F8 when booting your computer up.
Windows 9x/ME: ^ F5 instead

Enter safe mode and go system restore from there.

Mod Edit: Moved to "Tech Talk" forum.

I think that if you backed up everything on to CD from safe mode (except for your programs - they can always be reinstalled), you can reformat your hard drive and re-install everything to BE SURE that all the unwanted files are gone.

(Coughs*too much p****Coughs) Ok, Like Afaust3 said, back up your files on a CD, if you can. THe best way is probably to reformat your computer with your reinstallation disk. Other then that, you can "system restore". And if it restored some spyware...you got to find some website that helps you remove it manually (with step by step instructions) or else you're out of hope.
I miss tech. I miss all my friends. I wish I could go back.
