Just got a pretty high-end gaming pc for the summer (for my lazy a**), so the psp is pretty much out of the question. I would probably be too damn paranoid to carry it outside the house anyway

So has it replaced your magazines in the bathroom?

The N64 ain't got nothin' on the Sega Genesis. :P
Mortal Kombat III rules.

And the Gameboy Color/SP is better than the DS/PSP because you can play with one hand. It's very handy when you have a bag of doritos lying around.

I don't buy gaming consoles. I think they are a waste of money to buy proprietary technology when there are games available for the PC

Glad I'm not the only one that still has an Atari system, N64, and a GBC (though I rarely start them up anymore :) ). Anyone with a computer up for a game of America's Army?

Things like that inevitably turn into expensive hi tech paperweights in the near future. Might as well buy a PC or a PDA :D

Technology is going too fast! Ehh, I don't really need a PSP, I don't even play my GBA, lol. I'd rather look at books/something productive in the subway or waiting or something. I wouldn't want that thing stolen in the public if I had one, lol.
I miss tech. I miss all my friends. I wish I could go back.

I don't have times for video games anymore. \= I'm saving up for an iPod (I'm sure by the time I actually get an iPod there will be newer versions of it, maybe iPod color!) and maybe a new phone.

iPod Color? What is it suppose to do? You mean the iPod Photo with it's color LCD or the iPod Minis with different colors?

I don't understand why people prefer the expensive iPods. Maybe it's the subliminal messages they put in their flashy silhouette ads that make people prefer them over other devices or because they support the AAC format which is pretty efficient (but wouldn't people rather have a microphone, FM radio, etc. instead?).

Oregon Trail? The original one for the Apple II computer or the more "graphic" one?

/me gently pats my 2 desktop PCs

Screw consoles and portables, I don't have both. Only recently I've been getting into MP3 players, but only part-time though.

It's a newspaper ride in the morning and a talk/read ride in the afternoon for me.

Well iPod holds more songs which is why it's more expensive. I'm just saying that whenever a newer version of iPod comes out, it should be in color.

Well obviously since they're equipped with mini hard drives compared to the RAM on most flash players, however there are several mini HD media players currently on the market.

Why people prefer Ipods:

Build Quality - Beats the hell out of any other player
RELIABLE
Weight - damn light
Layout - Very efficient, simple
Interface - Unbeatable, period.
iTunes - f'ing fast transfers + reliable
Excellent sound quality for a DAP (although not the best)
Supports MP3's, AAC, WAV, AIFF
Can be used as an external HD
Battery life has been improving over time

If you want FM radio get a an adapter. As for the microphone, its an MP3 PLAYER, not a recording device. If you want a mic, get a tape recorder

Um... ipods tend to be heavier and more bulkier than the other mp3 players in the market.

such would be? There aren't many mp3 players that are smaller that provide equivalent storage. Usually you would have to sacrifice one for the other
