I just got a Motorola V330 cell phone equipped with Bluetooth. I have some questions.

1. What is bluetooth? Is it wireless transfer of stuff? I want to transfer photos from my phone to my computer. How do I go about doing this?

2. What does it cost?

It's very short-ranged wireless. You'd need an adapter to attach to you computer, and USB plug-ins are the most common. I've seen Walmart sell for about $15. I wasted $30 on the adapter I bought a month ago at CompUSA.

I have T-Mobile as a service carrier. Will they charge me to transfer stuff over?

Not if you use Bluetooth, but charges would be incurred if you were to send files to the phone using email or MMS or SMS via the T-Mobile network.

bluetooth is short ranged much like 802.11 protocols. or irda t-mobile wont charge you for using bluetooth. its built into your phone so its yours to use. most apple macintosh computers come built-in with bluetooth devices and all sony computers come built-in and so do sony ericsson phones. windows xp sp2 comes builtin with a bluetooth software interface. just go to start > run > type in bthprops.cpl and click ok then follow the instructions on the screen
