As the topic name says....my question to you is...where are all the Techies at Tech? According to your club list, there is no computer club of any kind...which is ridiciously sad for a school called Brooklyn Tech

It's actually called Technites, but that's not the point at all.

Lots of clubs revolve around technology as the Robotics club, they don't necessarly have to focus on just computers as thats not what technology is really about.

All the techies at Tech are too busy sitting behind their own computers to actually sit around after school behind someone else's.

Myself included. B)

lol, wouldn't be about sitting behind computers...it would be about helping each other learn stuff...like helping someone if they are learning php or giving each other tips on stuff...or something like that...

There aren't computer clubs at Tech because there were incidents with broken computers and/or monitors due to vandalism, thus it's hard, if not impossible, to make a case for a club approval or find a teacher willing.

i think that was game programming.. even though that makes even less sense. it's probably that they're going to try and make a club, but advertising it before they even get it approved and get an advisor.

If you are interested in that, you might want to speak to Mr. Edwards in 3S12. He might know who is running it.

Game Programming Club

Yea we're hoping it will be started come this semester. We have an advisor, but he says it will depend on his schedule still. I'll make an official post somewhere on the boards when the club officially starts.

I made a post a few months ago about it. http://www.bthsnews.org/forums/Game_Progra...Club-t2202.html

If you're interested, please PM me.

Oh right, we did get the club approved and we did get an advisor. Although as said in the post, everything is not exactly set in stone.
