That has got to be the most incredible coincidence I've ever heard of, and if you try to calculate the odds of such an occurrence, you'd understand why I'm so amazed. Of course, just as interesting is how someone actually came across that detail. Good one!

Oct 31 is 31 in base 8. Dec 25 is 25 in base 10.
Convert 25 (base 10) to base 8 and you will get 31, and vice versa.
