Yeah, I know there was a "free version" of Opera before, laden with advertisements. Not anymore!

Opera Software decided to make the Personal Computer versions of Opera free, with no advertisements and no licensing fee. The mobile versions of Opera are still not free though (Symbian, Series 60, Windows Mobile, etc.).

Yeah yeah yeah, in the face of Firefox users (myself included, a Firefox for my Windows and one of my Debian Linux), Opera is still promising. From some people, I've heard Opera is better than Firefox. I'm trying Opera out and finding out for myself.

BTW, I wonder what people who just purchased a license feel. LOL.

If anyone tries out Opera for OS X, let me know if you think it is better than Safari or not. I'm too lazy these days to fiddle around with browsers.

I prefer Firefox over Opera. Considering that Firefox and Safari are very similar, stick with Safari.

I hear that Safari is generally very good, and Firefox really shouldn't replace it. Rendering takes longer in Safari though, I think.
