If you have nothing to do at the moment and are bored like  , then help me out: critique this website I've recently upgraded. Some things to look for, any way to make it better (aesthetically or otherwise), any new features you believe might enhance the site or some things like that. Or if you're really bored, go around looking for bugs, errors and holes in the code and tell me, thanks.

Yea, I think I mentioned somewhere it doesn't work with IE.
The main problem is that IE doesn't display PNG files correctly and screws up the whole thing. Also in IE the bottom dock, doesn't dock. I read the specification reports on IE7, and it'll support all that stuff. :)

Hey, lookin' pretty good. You definitely need some more lyrics though :)
I agree with Fright about one thing though- the color does seem a little drab.

The gray color is kinda dull. Maybe you can leave the background color gray, but the boxes with all those words should have a different color.

Speaking of the background... maybe add a few more silhouettes?

Don't use PNGs if you're only doing one color. Save yourself some bandwidth.

Agreed. You seem to be using the PNG with some level of alpha transparency, which is unnecessary. A 4 color GIF drops the same image from 112k to 9k.

Contrast too low in the content divs. It might be better to make them a lighter color against the main background, which would make the text easier to read.

You might run into some licensing issues with that background silhouette image you are using.

I doubt it. If anything, he's advertising.

However, I believe some artists/record labels prohibit/disallow the posting of their lyrics. Lyrics sites/programs that download them have recently come under fire from the RIAA.

I don't think the music companies would care that much about a relatively small site. (No offense dude :)) It's like how people put music on their xanga. Do you see them getting sued?

And by the way, so far no one has sent me any type of legal notice, besides 3 or 4 visitors or day, yea doubt anyone would care.

(Geez, thanks for the vote of confidence there.)

And yes, I agree that I should start making at least one site that's IE compatible. So I have.

Follow this link: No need to critique or anything, I made this site to test concept not to test code, but for all you people out there who really want to try to find a way to download the music files, fine, but just don't post it up on the internet or anything and please don't direct link.

Rain 1.0

This site is IE7 Compatible, IE6 is not compatible with it so uh, yea. Have fun.
