Neo said Mozilla(non-firefox) and NO ONE uses that...

That's not true. Mozilla isn't used by many, about 3% of internet users, but a lot of programmers and developers use it. That's an important group of people to be able to view a site, especially if he's asking for criticism.

Yes, I use it for testing. And the reason I have the non-Firefox version of Mozilla is because I also use the Mozilla Mail component, and occasionally, even the IRC client (ChatZilla). Yes, Firefox has marginally better support for bleeding edge web standards (and oh how I wish all browsers did), but it's not enough to outweigh the convenience of an integrated suite.

I've actually found Opera to have the highest adherence to web standards, but I prefer firefox hands down.

In the IT community Mozilla (non-Firefox) is used especially older versions because of how stable it was.

I think it would have been better off if the original design was left intact...but then, it would just be a mirror, wouldn't it?

Also, I'm really pissed off that I had to install FireFox just to view the site. It reminds of the days when the web was littered with "Get IE" and "Netscape Now!" buttons. Get with the times...

Although the design and layout might be unusually similar, I see no evidence of ripping of images or source codes. In fact, the source is quite different -- cleaner even.

I think the whole idea of the site is for the community to build the database of lyrics and as of now that community is quite small.

it is pretty pathetic that he wanted us to review code that he stole. And FF sucks d***. IE7 is the way too go. If some people did their research they would kno that.

Those stats are completly inncorect (3%). First of all less than 5% of Windows Users change their browser. And it says on that page that those stats are for that website, not the internet '''''Why so high Firefox figures? W3Schools is a website for people with an interest for web technologies. These people are more interested in using alternative browsers than the average user. The average user tends to use Internet Explorer, since it comes preinstalled with Windows. Most do not seek out other browsers.''''' If you read carefully you can tell

I'm not sure if anyone can really objectively measure the percentage of users using a particular browser. There is always a twist somewhere. David Pogue (of NYTimes) brought up the issue recently in his blog here: http://pogue.blogs.nytimes.com/?p=49

I haven't tried IE7 yet because I primarily use a Mac and Safari suits me best. However, from what I hear, it is basically an overdue and copycat job.

If you actually took the time to read or even look at the source, you'll notice he didn't steal any code at all. The design is just not original.

If you want to disect browsers: Yes IE & FF both have nice things and flaws that go with them. Then you have Opera which is supposedly the quickest, most stable, and most compliant browser.

I personally use FF. Aside from long startup times, I really don't have a problem with it.

FF works like a charm for me. I'm an extension abuser, and my system doesn't even take a hit.

I've checked out the IE7 beta. I really is a rip off of Firefox, down to the UI. I suppose the same goes for Vista though.

I tried out IE7. The layout is not really put together well. I see alot of empty space besides the tabs that could be put to better use. It is slower than my other browsers. (I think because of the phishing filter.)
