definitely TSUBASA CHRONICLE! sakura and shaoran are too cute! This anime is very similar to CardCaptors Sakura, but this anime shows more of a loving relationship between sakura and shaoran. It has adventure and romance and magic mixed in. If you loved CCS, you're sure to love this one too!

Tsubasa Chronicle is awesome. I'm waiting for the second season. Syaoran is yummy. ;P

If you're into romantic dramas with a touch of comedy, Honey & Clover has the absolute best execution and character development. I fell in love along with the characters. Don't bother watching if you're not used to the slow pace of Japanese drama. If I recall, the manga won quite a few awards.

Eureka 7 is getting good right now as well. And Ichiho Mashimaro is filled with loli goodness. The manga was fun to edit.

I don't like how they DRAW Tsubasa though. I mean, even for anime, it's totally exaggerated (look at the arms and the legs! Honestly, no meat at all, it's an anorexic's dream). The clothing have no details to them, they look as if they are 6 feet something, EACH WEIGHING AT 60 SOMETHING POUNDS INSTEAD, and the story plot is....meh.

I mean, Sakura is reduced to a weak princess that can't defend herself without her "lubbable Syaoran-kun!", not even with her kic-arse magical powers, and Syaoran has such a strong leg that he could just flip (spider flip! Hya!) and kick, and the monsters just goes "Wheeee!-Splat!".

Gosh, I like CCS better. At least Sakura is much less of a wuss there.
And Syaoran is tougher. He has more techniques in getting rid of monsters than just kicking. Mick Nekoi (I think she's the one that's drawing it right now) has absolutely no idea how fighting goes. You can't just flip and kick , and expect them to just DIE right there.

I swear, Tsubasa has turned into every fanfic-writer's dream. Well, those that put them into the "princess and princes" story-line theme.

(Compare and Contrast from CCS and Tsubasa. And even if you say "Well, anime is supposed to be exagerrated!", it's still bad art. You can't have a spider's body on a spider's leg, and still make it look remotely human, it's just not possible.)
It takes 42 muscles to frown, but just 5 to pull the trigger of any decent sniper rifle :)

I happen to like the art style. CLAMP really likes to play with different styles and themes. Sure, the clothes lack detail, but the animation is much richer, and the environments are a lot more detailed and cleaner than a lot of other things.

I don't know about you, but there's an utter LACK of "Save the Princess" type themes. Ever since Utena, everyone has been gung-ho about girls with swords. Nothing wrong with that (Shakugan no Shana!), and there's nothing wrong with Tsubasa's basis either.

It's unfair to compare the two Shaorans. CLAMP never meant for Tsuabsa Chronicle to be related to any of the other CLAMP series at all - just cameo appearances.

Anime isn't "supposed to be" anything. Accept the series for what it is there are always other things you can watch.

Parakiss seems promising. I'll wait till I finish up a few more series first though. I can't follow more tan 7 series at once.

I'm still waiting for a good quality version of the Full Metal Alchemist movie to come out. I wanna know what happened,... it was such an awesome anime... TOTALLY AWESOME, the science, the cloning, the history... THE ALCHEMY! I can't believed they ended like that tho. But I guess Full Metal Alchemist is not that new.

Umm... bleach was good... till the second season, now it's just lagging a couple of episodes, after the lag's over, it'll be good again. Takes them too long to save Rukia.

But the anime i like are more.. umm... action pack, blood gushing, magic swordship type of thing.

O, and I forgot to add. Yakitate Japan!! It's about food. Monster's good too, it's very theoritical, not the blood gushing action i'm use to watching, but very good.

Actually, there is this series called Air TV, and Air (Movie). It's really spiriual in a sense, but not of religion, and really good art and animation.

And also, my 17th year old sister got readdicted to Digimon. It's good if you don't watch it with English voices I guess. Hell, all anime are good without the English voices!

AIR is just amazing. I didn't think key could come out with anything better than Kanon. I was wrong. The movie was pretty low-budget. Seems that most of the budget was spent on the gorgeous series.

Tsubasa Chronicle isn't over. The secon season is coming in a few months.

Mai Otome isn't really appealing yet, and I'm up to 8. If it doesn't pick up by episode 10, I'm going to drop it and follow the manga. Mashiro is a man!

Rozen Maiden is awesome. I wasn't really interested until I saw the OP. Kinjirareta Asobi won me over. I haven't gotten past episode one of Traummend because ADTRW is stalled on number 1. I might pick up manhole-desu's releases since I'm so desperate to watch it.

Black Cat is pretty great. If you followed the manga scanlations, I was part of the editing team for Atasuki-Manga's releases. I will never, ever edit a shounen action manga again.

Ha, I'm still addicted to it. I love Bleach and Parakiss, though the latter's ending soon.
As for Naruto, I don't plan on watching to many of the new episodes till next year, when they get out of those annoying filler eps and go to the Naruto II arc.

Bleach is NUMBER ONE. You can tell the storyline is going to have so much more climax points, and I haven't even read the manga...

Naruto - I dropped it as soon as I saw the fillers. The whole anime started to become a competition to see whether next week's episode would have even more flashbacks than the last one.

Tsubasa Chronicles - I have no problem with Sakura taking the role of the "damsel in distress." I mean, she lost all of her memory and parts of her soul... I just get annoyed as to how often Syaoran's name is called. It's good, but I prefer the manga.

You want serious anime bub? Try Noir. Or Spiral.

Black enough for you to go into hiding (wicked smile).

In all seriouslness, Noir and Spiral are suspensful anime.
Besides for the fact that they don't have one chibi-expression, nor the color pink, they don't even smile most of the time.

How much more serious can you get?

But they're really, really good animes. Even better than "Syao-chan!".
(Sorry, couldn't resist).

Noir is about these two female assasins going up agaisnt their clients and their victims, trying to find out their own past, linked to those they called the Soldats.

Lots of guns, action/adventure

Spiral is about a young man and the "Blade Children". He fights by solving mysteries so hard, not even Sherlock Holmes can solve them. The theme is deduction. What will the enemy do? Their destiny is in the spiral.

Lots of bombs O_O. Mystery, action/adventure. BIG on the mystery.

We should have a poll somewhere...because my opinions are really different...
I thought spiral and noir were ... okay...
I found Monster more suspenseful, more interesting, really dark and serious (no humor).

Noir was mediocre at best, really. The music was good though.

Monster is supposedly incredible (as well as the manga), but I'm not up for horror.

...I still don't understand Lain.

Noir, mediocre?
What have you been watching?

But the music really is good. Especially Akino Arai's ending song.
(Thinking about being alone in a sandy beach with that one gets people crying).

There really nothing remarkable about Noir's storyline at all. It was all so very predictable. But you know, that might be because I'm looking back at it through everything else I've watched. I'm sure it set the standard way back when.
