Certainly! Why would we stick behind when we can progress and enjoy the (hopefully) beautiful layout and functionality of our college/uni's website? :)

Sure, I'll be standing by and checking the school's website from time to time (I'll let BTHSNews.org tell me first that it changed though). 'Til then, I don't want to look at the eyesore.

We need a widget thats sole purpose is to notify us of variations in the HTML code of bths.edu, and if a change is detected, lock our computers down so that the only thing we can do is click on a link that will take us to the site. :)

Also, said widget will require five hours of compulsory worship each day.

I'm not a fan of series posts, but it's been long enough to merit such action...

Announcement regarding the new and improved school website: "And so, after four months of hard work and dedication, we bring you...NOTHING."

Come back during September and let us know what you think about the new BTHS.edu. I'm pretty sure you will be very wittily insightful as you usually are. It is nice to see you back in the forums, old friend.

Uh, we aren't the ones redesigning bths.edu. The company Educational Networks is doing it.

As for our redesign, possibly some organizational changes for the news and some other aesthetic changes. There is nothing much to preview as of now.

I am currently working on a new design for the front page (it's nothing too drastic), and it will be ready for when the rush of incoming freshmen in August and September.

Will it look even more busier and complex than it is now? :D

lol, I wonder who found that link. What you saw was basically a template; one which I haven't taken off my server yet. It was an abandoned project as of 2005.

Reasons:
1. There wasn't enough funding
2. I took on a better job. B).

There were plans to try and get educational grants from Microsoft to get MSExchange Server with enough CAL's for all students to have his/her own '@bths.edu' email addresses, where students can get notifications of events. The project came to a halt, due to various reasons which I am not going to explain. But, for those who are curious, there were a lot of things going on in Administration and IT at that time.

Actually, not that anyone cares at this point, but the webmaster for the bths.edu site BACK THEN was a friend of McCaskill's (or so I was told.)
The site linked on this thread was a rough draft template that I had worked on back then (no relations to that webmaster who used some stupid majordomo mailing list :veryangry: )
B) Just though I'd clarify that.
