IN jr high i use to get so addicted to many rpg (roleplayinggames) online games. For example one is neopets. I couldn't help stop playing it in 6th and 7th grade.
When i got into 8th grade everything turned worse. I was addicted to this free rpg game called runescape. Man it was so addicting i was doing 85's in my subjects. And i got into tech was a 541. Right now though i think runescape is an extreme waste of time. I will never play that game again.

(And no you can't have my account)
Have you any online games that you were addicted to???

This might be hard to believe, but I never played online RPG's or even multiplayer games my whole life, save for the very brief moments where I did play at PC Bangs in South Korea (back in the days when they were numerous and were a popular, sociable place).

Heh, let's say it was a bit of an adjustment here in the US, where Cybercafe's charge you $4-$5/hour. and I'm used to the cheap W1,500-W2,000/hr (back then that would be about $1~$1.50). And I did have very limited budget.

Also, I got my DSL recently... only a year ago. I was a dialup user since 1995.

---

Apparantly, Runescape is VERY ADDICTING, my younger brother would play it almost non-stop and my dad had to impose computer usage/time limits as a result.

It's like me and Gunbound...oh god, I just realized it was a waste of time after spending one year of it (4 hours a day on school days, 6-8 hours on non-school days).
I miss tech. I miss all my friends. I wish I could go back.

i was addicted to neopets in my hs freshman year, but that only lasted a year. Then i was somehow curious about the game Sakray/Ragnorok. I saw so many ppl play it so i decided to play it. This would be first time playing an online game. But it was so boring cuz i have to train and stuff. I don't understand how people can get thru these types of games just fighting a certain type of monster all the time just to get a level up. I quitted in less than a week. :graduation:

runescape is very addicting, it doesnt have the best graphics compared to other rpgs, but its free, mu i just started playing, it feels lame, cuz all i do is fight, i think the reason runescape is addicting is because it go so many skills you can lvl up in not just fighting, but now guild wars came out and runescape will be so left behind,

Online games?? lol. i used to be a crazy online gamer. moving from one game to another. the first few online games i started on was neopets, earth2025, and utopia. i attained high ranks (in guild and ingame) in both earth 2025 and utopia before retiring from both games. but i gotta say earth2025 was the game that got me really engaged into the online community. from coordinated attacks to keeping the entire guild on track it was really cool.

then i moved onto other online games listed in www.mpogd.com. games like RPGWorld online was truly one of the best online rpg game i ever played due to its total freedom to do whatever you want and the interaction between players was great. other games include spacemerchants, space, ferion, neveron, star fury. just to name a few.

other mentionable games include Ragnarok Online, WoW, Freelancer, Runescape.

now i play area00, pardus, freekick, nationstates and sometimes neopets. sumtimes Gunz and Gunbound as well.

another game that i really loved and still do is Darkspace. www.darkspace.net it has one of the best gaming community i've ever seen. and i was one of the beta testers for this game.

and many of these games i was actually in during their beta testing stages. so yea contrary to belief that i stay at home and study, the above mentioned games is actually what i really do at home lol.

It's so true that most people want to play the free online games. I mean who wants to pay like about $20 a month just to play ultima online. Some of you may want to. I hear the ultima online is not really that bad. Runescape as a free rpg is much better than other free rpgs, but if you play too much you'll see the difference in your grades. I think maple story and gunbound are kinda of wack.

Addicting Games... As in MMORPG's??? Thats my area of expertise :P

-Ultima Online (thanks to my dad, the account is still active (: ) (been playing since 1999)
-Asherons Call (inactivated early this year after playing it since maybe 2000)
-Guild Wars (started May this year, I am still hooked)

(Do I feel like I wasted my time on them? Absolutely not, what would I have been doing in this time... studying??? yeah, sure)

also, I've been beta testing games since forever.

of the free games: I've played Gunbound, hated it. Warcraft III, didn't catch my drift.

If you guys wanna play some FUN games... JayIsGames <<< this site has loads and loads of games, and is even updated daily since more than a year

(BTW... don't tell me my grades could have been higher if I hadn't played any games... I'm sporting a 93 average thank you =P ... a 98 2nd term of junior year)

Me too, i played runescape (lvl 80), maplestory, and CS a lot in JHS but never dropped grades and always stayed in the 90's... runescape IS boring once you mastered everything and nothing to do, like me right now (uless your a member which is subject to updates every week and you'll never be bored, cheap price for a long trem addiction). However, i had a pretty small workload

When I was much younger, I used to play Rollercoaster Tycoon and its variations, Sim City and its variations, and other games in the genre. I do not play them anymore, after not having had the time to play them during the summer, and I have fortunately not played them since. Not being addicted to computer/video games anymore is a wonderful feeling.
