For those of you who play UT2k3, you might be glad to know that 2004 has been released. (demo)
Unfortunately...my !@#$py computer can't run it. :(
Anyway, theres new features such as vehicles, better graphics, and new gameplay modes.
Check it out.

Maybe this will sidetrack people from arguing in the venting thread.

Edit: I spoke too soon, the arguing has stopped. :!:

Well I don't plan on "buying" it, but I got the demo yesterday and its awesome! I especially like the multiplayer talk feature, better than using Roger Wilico or any other of those programs. I hope the full version is even better.

Heh...
I have:

1.33ghz Pentium 4 (Williamette = earliest + worst pentium 4 created)
32 mb TNT2
256 mb RDRAM (RDRAM is a very bad RAM type)
37.2gb HD
Windows ME (worst windows OS, IMO)

Xilenx, I would be filled with joy if I had the stuff you did. :D
I dont especially like the new GEforce FX cards, but hell, I'd take it if I could. 8O

Edit: Oh, by the way, I downloaded the demo, and was surprised that it ACTUALLY RAN! Slowly, but it ran! 8O

Nice stuff, WEBS. The Geforce Ti's are safe, I just dont trust the FX's.
And Xilenx, if you chose to download from fileplanet, then theres probably a wait. The Yahoo and Atari links dont have waits.

i didnt trust the fx either, i wanted the ati radeon, but i didnt have enough w, (300w), and i needed more in order to use all of it, so instead i settled for the fx, which uses less power and gives good results.

Well, I don't actually know the mathematical statistics, I was just told by some computer kid who knows a lot. I'll take his word for it

I'm sure when intel or athlon comes out with a 128bit chip set, 1gb is a minimum.

And by then, the prices will drop even further.
It's funny how this turned into a computer hardware thread :D.

Played the demo, not bad. Hate the vehicle map. Love Assault. I had all settings on medium, and I could play fine with my Radeon 9000 128MB. If you pre order this from EB for $40, you get the collector's edition tin case, and a free Logitech gaming headset. Lost the link for it though.
