Hey currently I'm working at the David Yassky campaign. He's currently a
City Councilman running to represent the 11th Congressional District in
Brooklyn, which includes the neighborhoods of Flatbush, Crown Heights,
Ditmas Park, Midwood, Kensington, Park Slope, Prospect Heights and Brooklyn
Heights.

Primary Day is September 12th so the time to get involved is now.

The office is near Tech so you could come by after school. We need a lot of
volunteers for this campaign so if you're interested, please contact me or
call the Campaign office at 718-399-7234. He also has a website; www.davidyassky.com
The office is located at 227 Flatbush Avenue between Bergen and Dean.

I plan on getting involved very directly.

I already requested my absentee ballot for the September Primary and I will be casting my vote.

It will be my first experience in the Democratic process.
It's much easier being politically incorrect.

Then don't fret Alpha, you can vote in the actual election.

Besides you have to be a registered Democrat to vote on September 12th, and besides the fact that I don't think you live in New York's 11th Congressional district, I don't think you'd be registering as a Democrat.

I met yassaky, someone in my neighborhood held a private thing with him so it was just like 8 or 9 neighbors and him... he sounded pretty good...i think he was campaigning with his mother actually...

but i think my parents aren't voting for him cause of something he said about Israel, something about how he supports everything they are doing in Lebanon...(this was before the peace talks and such)

There's a downside of registering as an independent. You are not able to vote in primarys and thus you are not able to choose your candidate.
