AM New York should get a new editor badly. The paper is filled with so many errors.

Hey, you get what you paid for.
I've only read some articles from AM New York, and so far, it just seems like a good reading for those who take short trips, like students and those who live close to their work places.

AMNewYork is run by Newsday, if you didn't know.

That is very interesting. I guess Newsday is making money by displaying the ads in its paper. Since the paper is so small, there is barely any cost to produce the paper compared to the NY Times, for example.

there was something else about a time traveler.

This one..is a little harder to determine whether it is a hoax or not.

hmm... if he is a true time traveler a Civil War should start this year. It would be interesting to see how true it is. I really don't buy it though....

Well I'll tell you what. If a civil war does start, I'm moving the hell out of New York.

They spell poll as "pol" even on their front page. Even if that is correct (which I doubt), I have never seen something like that before. But again, it is a twenty-something page free newspaper, which I enjoy because it is a quick read that gets to the point - unlike the Times which is as big as a 200 page small paperback book I heard once

I'm so used to the NYTimes that I don't really like AMNew York

The daily crosswords in AM New York are really easy, at least to me.

AM New York is free, easy to read and it does get straight to the point. It doesn't usually give you details though so if you want the "whole story" then go to the Times.

Ooh, someone brought up John Titor! I didn't expect things to go this far.
Honestly, why do people on these forums in particular keep raising obviously crackpot concerns? The Lincoln-Kennedy connection, Carlssin, John Titor, last year's obsession with government manipulation of the media... the list goes on, far out of proportion to the number of people who actually frequent this site. Why do these things keep getting discussed? Is there some shortage of real news?
I'm not annoyed, I'm just genuinely curious.

The "real news" is manipulated by the government

Yeh, recently the gov't was cuaght red handed sending tapes to tv stations to air "news" segments, they weren't news, they were propaganda. People assumed they were aired as real news and beleived them. And this is a humor forum, don't be so condescending and uptight bren.
