I'm not sure if all the stories are true but it is pretty hilarious having little remotes wrecking big screens.

The premise is quite funny, but I have to admit that on occasion I get very caught up in the game, so its not hard to imagine cracking something with a flying Wii-mote. Its a mark of their design that they are durable enough to destroy TV's and withstand the impact. Good job Nintendo, good job!!

I guess Nintendo never really considered the prospect of the Wiimote breaking a TV. I'm sure other screens have cracked when people threw their remotes at them in frustration.
Hard work pays off in the future, laziness pays off now.

The reason it flew off was because the guy wasn't using the wrist strap.

That was only for some of the cases. There were a quite a few where the wrist strap just snapped.
