I've heard my mom saying the past few days "Oh that poor man... why did he have to walk out in the cold" and just dismissed the story as another tragic tale, but I just found out that James Kim, the man who died after walking 16 miles in the snow in an effort to find help for his family, was the senior analyst for CNET. Many times did I visit the site and read one of his reviews, or watch one of his taped guides, so I feel a sense of familiarity with him.

R.I.P James Kim, your tale is heroic. My deepest condolences for the Kim family... I am really saddened by this.

yes, he was truly good at his job and enjoyed what he did. When I saw this story a few days ago I was heartbroken. He will be deeply missed.
Life is an experience. Embrace it.

No, it was 16 miles. That's the new report - the 4 or 5 miles as said before, is a miscalculation.

My goodness... 16 miles?!

I was touched by the story myself also. It is amazing how far he went for his wife and two daughters. It is really saddening that his daughters lose their father so early in their lives.

He was quite the cool guy in his reviews. He will be really missed.

One of the articles said that vandals opened the gate to the road or something for the road that was supposedly closed. I do hope they catch the vandals.

It's amazing what people will do when their life is hanging in the balance.
It's much easier being politically incorrect.
