For the past few days, every time I try to visit bths.edu, the website didn't come. Then a sign appears saying that the "page is taking too long to respond" and some other stuff. Why is this happening? Every other site I visit works fine.

"I never knew
I never knew that everything was falling through
That everyone I knew was waiting on a queue
To turn and run when all I needed was the truth
But that's how it's got to be
It's coming down to nothing more than apathy
I'd rather run the other way than stay and see
The smoke and who's still standing when it clears
Everyone knows I'm in
Over my head
Over my head"

There could be a problem with the redirect to http://bths.enschool.org/ , that is where the page is actually located.

Yeah, they must be having some DNS problems. Remember to use the WWW. for now. I still don't understand why our school needs to use a third party to host their site. Come on.

Its called "Tech" for a reason.

We have the capability but outsourcing is an economic decision. The cost for the company to run the site and give us admin rights is far cheaper than paying our faculty to build and maintain the site.

What most people forget is that www is a part of the actual domain of a site. Leaving it out generally is okay, but oftentimes, the server won't correctly redirect you.

Can be easily fixed in the DNS records.

www.bths.edu 216.211.196.226

They need to contact the web designers or this person.

you'd think a professional school designer site wouldn't have these problems as they should know what to do

There are many "professional" sites that do not have the automatic redirect.
