Very much so. Prior to this year, the class was taught differently. First semester was US Government, and second semester was Comparative Government. We normally finished US Government on time, but there was never enough time for Comparative or to review for the exams. This way, its much better, because you will have five months to cover the state and federal government systems, etc. The second semester focus on constitutional law will give you a strong understanding of the Supreme Court and notable court cases, which are an integral part of the exam, some years they form the entire essay portion of the exam. The system is akin to Intro American Government and Intro Con Law in college. Its a pretty good system, I think it'll work.

Gotta love those political statements
To answer your question, the teachers get the students more than ready for the AP US Gov't exam, and with that format I got a 5 on it. It's a lot better than the pressure of remembering comparative politics for another term. At least US Gov't compliments what you're doing in American history.

There are already senior 1 2 and 3 slots filled, so what does co-requistes mean? and does that mean you will have 4 periods of the major?
ALSO is it possible to get a APID through another major if your schedule permits?

I don't know how to go about earning an APID to begin with, if there is some paperwork or something. But in theory if you take all the necessary AP's, then you should qualify for APID. You just need to fit in the extra AP classes into your schedule. From my understanding of APID, Law and Society only covers two of the required subject areas for APID. You'd need an AP English class, an AP Language and an AP Math or Science class, which probably means one or two additional electives. It's certainly possible. If you do take on Law on Society, since both the major AP's are in Junior year, you might want to ensure that you're not loading up on AP's as a Junior. You'd want to save at least two of those extra AP classes for Senior year, just to spread out your AP exams.

As for APID if you are willing to take Spanish for all four years, you can get the diploma providing you meet the other requirements. I'm just not sure how much of an impact it would make...

Spanish 4 has been coverted to AP Spanish Lang and yes, if you meet the APID requirements you can earn that distinction via any major. It should be noted that due to scheduling constraints, it is hard to do without the program flexibility offered by IAS.
