Inside the Majors Booklet, they listed two corequisites for this major and I have been told that you must take them.
Can you explain when we have to take these and exactly what classes are they again?

Before I start, let me define a co-requisite against a pre-requisite. A pre-requisite is a requirement that you must fulfill before you start a program. A co-requisite is a requirement you must fulfill as you complete that program, but it is not part of that program. The co-requisite fulfills some other requirement.

That said, I'm going to take a shot in the dark and suspect that the two co-requisites are AP Comparative Government and Economics. As a student in the state of New York, you are required to take one semester of Government and one semester of Economics. As a student in Law and Society, you are required to take AP US Government (one semester) and Constitutional Law. But the rule at Brooklyn Tech is that your major classes CANNOT fulfill requirements for the regents diploma. So the AP US Government class does not count towards your required semester of government. That is why there are these co-requisites. As a Law and Society Senior, you will take a semester of Economics (you could opt for AP) and a semester of AP Comparative Government, as the regular government class would be redundant for a student who has already taken AP US Government.

So, to summarize, as a Junior, you take AP US Government. As a Senior you take AP Comparative Government (1 semester) and some form of economics (1 semester or AP Micro/Macro).
It's much easier being politically incorrect.

BTHS Class of 2006, Technology & Liberal Arts
Tulane Class of 2010, Political Science
