~nobody else has started a topic like this rite? ~
anyways....

yea so Nov.4 is a little over a week away.....opinions/thoughts on who is favored to win or who you like and why?

Personally, I don't like either candidate but McCain is too oldfashioned/extreme for me and Palin is better suited as a "hockey mom" ....so i guess obama/biden?......not that i can vote, but still....i can post my opinion...we're in America after all.

Whoever gets elected cant possibly mess up America more then our lovely president has already....

He's ahead in all polls pretty much =P
I doubt there's anything McCain could do within the next week to turn this around for him.

I think both candidates are the most worthy at the moment to be running for president and both would make a better president than George W. Bush but I am a Barack Obama supporter.

Either Barack Obama or John McCain will win, but the key aspect is that America loses either way.

I have the weirdest feeling McCain will win. He and Sarah Palin's MAVERICKY energy will fix America (Saturday night live LOL).

Obama received protection from the Secret Service over a year ago, when the first threats started to seem credible. Every President faces threats on his life, including the current President and every living former President. That's why they all get Secret Service protection. Having gone to several campaign events over the course of the past two years, including ones where the Secret Service was present, I think it has been a good thing, and they have done a good job dealing with any threats.

But back on the topic, I believe Barack Obama will win the Presidential election. I have not seen John McCain make a compelling argument in recent days that dents Obama's perceived advantage on economic issues. Even with bringing out Samuel Wurzelbacher aka Joe the Plumber on the stump isn't helping. I have trouble believing that anyone who is on the cusp of buying their own business can really be a motivational tool for the millions of people with foreclosed homes, shambled credit or worthless stock portfolios.

I'm with tycoon here. The McCain camp has been looking desperate and their campaign has been getting rather ugly.

I cast my absentee ballot for Obama/Biden a few weeks ago. =)

I'm waiting for election day to vote here in Louisiana. God, I sure do love laws allowing college students to register in the state where they go to school. There are basically no close races in New York City. At least here we have a Congressional runoff race and a rather close Senate race. Something interesting to vote for.

For some reason, i feel that McCain and Palin's appearance on Saturday Night Live will help them in the long run..It leaves an impact on the people...I really hope not.
