I haven't watched it yet (can't stand crowded theaters) but I heard there was bad directing, bad acting, and you wouldn't have been able to understand the movie unless you read the book...in other words, too much was left out.
Anyone have anything to say?

The movie will receive a good box office number but you have to agree that teenage females dominate the audience because of the actor that plays Edward. Fans of the novel will probably enjoy the movie like Harry Potter.
I myself have not seen the movie so I cannot say if the movie is good or bad.

I would have to agree with you on on this one. This movie did no justice to the tension and adventure that Meyer incorporated in Twilight. The actors weren't great. Bella's serious attitude was frustrating. Edward didn't really have much of a personality (which is sort of like in the books), the graphics are poorly done and the story was rushed. It would be a confusing storyline to people who haven't read the books first.

But, I would say that these bad qualities wouldn't stop Twilight from making millions. It's getting its success from young teenagers who don't recognize the minimal quality of this movie. It's a hype.

I saw the movie yesterday and i must agree. The movie just killed the book. Alot of scenes were cut out and even after reading the book, i didn't even understand what was going on. In a packed movie theater, everyone was laughing most of the time and i kept telling my friends "wth this isn't supposed to be a comedy". I was mad that the movie didn't turn out as i expected. Of course, like most teenage girls, i also went because robert pattison was playing edward cullen, but still i thought the movie was just bad. I didn't like how they scripted the book for the film. They put a lot of unecessary things in the movie and left out all the good parts. For a movie about 2 hrs long, it could have been ALOT better.

It's funny how you say you went to go because of Robert Pattison because I'm looking at his filmography right now and it's nothing interesting. Sure, his looks, woo-hoo, but does that compensate for his mediocre acting? Eh. Some people get rich for nothing.

I've just came back from watching the movie, and I can't really complain that it sucked. It was kinda good actually. It drew like 10x more young girls in the theater though, (As opposed to guys) and you could hear them giggling together at certain points.
I haven't actually read the books yet (I've wanted to give them a try though) but you really can't compare the movie to the book sometimes. Theres only so much you can pack in a 2 hour film and only so much you can do to appeal to the general audience.

Huhh. It's funny that you mention that many people just watched the movie because Robert Pattinson played Edward. I know many MANY people who disliked the idea of the Twilight movie in the first place just BECAUSE he was playing Edward. I also think that Robert Pattinson wasn't exactly my idea of Edward.
That's another thing...A MOVIE THEATER FULL OF GIGGLING GIRLS!
I also heard some people say how the director was trying to make an attempt to make the movie better than the book?

But hey, we still have to look forward to New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. :)

I know I wouldn't. It wasn't amazing. But I'd go watch the next few films though. ONCE.
I would see The Dark Knight 5 times in IMAX.

well i mean he wasn't what i had in mind and he looked awkward at certain times but i still think hes good lookingg, but thats just me. Alot of other people don't really like him and thought he looked constipated. As long as the next movie is better, i'll be happy. I still love the books =]

You'd have to have the mental capacity of a rock to remotely find Twilight interesting.

The only way you would've found the movie pretty decent was if you never read the book in the first place. If you read the books, the movie pretty much shatters all your hopes and dreams of what you thought it should be.

But hey, here's something to look forward too...
