Hey,

I need help badly.
I cannot save anything on Word 2007. When I click the save button a error chime comes on. Help!

Is there any associated error message (along with the chime)?

Post a screengrab if you can.

Do you by chance have a "read-only" document open? In that case, you need to save as.

It could be "locked" like mine was a while back. Is everything greyed out or you just can't save? Can you type or make a new document?

Use Google Docs or download OpenOffice in the meantime if it's an emergency. You probably need to reinstall it or do something more drastic with your possibly stolen copy of Windows.

Yeah I used Google Docs - very useful!

I did a system restore back to the date before the problem began as a friend suggested and everything is fine.

Thanks for all your help!

Google Docs is a reliable word processor. However, MSW was probabably locked.

MS Word 2007 drives me insane. The new layout is nice but too complicated - even for a tech savy generation of teenagers
