This morning Roger Federer made history being the 6th male-player to complete the Grand Slam cycle and joins Fred Perry, Don Budge, Rod Laver, Roy Emerson and Andre Agassi as the only men to complete the cycle. It is a major accomplishment because in the last 3 years, Federer has been defeated at the French Open by Rafael Nadal. Federer caught a break when Nadal lost last week. Federer also ties Pete Sampras with 14 major titles.

Was a tight match between Federer and Nadal.

I did feel sorry for the other guys competing with either Federer or Nadal. They were literally fillers and seems like the audience treated them as such too.

Nadal lost to the guy Federer beat today. So there was a shock that Nadal was not in the French Final where he was dominate in the past 4 years.

I still can't believe Nadal lost. I really wanted him to win again this year. They have such a rivalry and it's always nice to watch them play at their best against each other. It was such a shocker that Nadal didn't get to the final.

and the one before that, which was a 4 hour 50 minute game or so. That was pretty epic too.

Funny thing too. I was watching the broadcast on NBC on Saturday. There was a "Live" watermark and they made no mention that it was prerecorded.

I thought the Nadal/Federer match was live (haven't been keeping track, I only watch when I see it). No sooner than shortly after I post, my younger brother tells me: Oh, the first one was live. The Nadal/Federer match they showed after was not.

D'oh!
