Jae-
It's alright, thanks for the thought.

Dickquan-
Yeah, it did kind of feel sad how not only did she REALLY try to make Civil appeal to me, but the Civil teacher himself spent the whole first day telling us that he knows that Civil might not've been our first choice, but it's FILLED with awesomeness and... Stuff.
Yeah, my art might actually grow with the crap-filled fertilizer that's been dumped on me. Before I got into Tech, my drawings were PATHETIC. They looked like doodles from an elementary schooler. Not professional doodles. Example:

So yeah, after going through a lot of stuff and having my art degraded by people who'd stumble upon me drawing, I got better. Hopefully I'll grow towards another source of light since this one's obviously dead.
And definitely, that whole art club suggestion she gave me (which was kind of lengthy), really didn't do much for me. I mean... I appreciate how she's trying to feed my artistic outputs, but I don't think I'd use her suggestions... I'm only in the art club for the credits and because it's a club that I can kinda sit through without wanting to walk out immediately... And I'm not in any leadership position in the club, nor do I actually know the people who are... And I'm not looking to make any dramatic changes. It'd be great if the art club actually tried to teach us some stuff, but she suggested we do a gallery and sell our drawings and... I guess it'd be a good idea if the majority of the club weren't there just to hang out and if anyone was actually interested in spending money on student drawings. Not likely though.

I failed the physics regents in freshman year, does that mean I'll have to retake physics in junior year instead of a major like the original author of the topic?

Also, did you realize the class of 2013 has a lot of competition? Tech admitted around 1,600 freshman this year.. stinks for them.

You will have to take Living Environment/Chem, you will not be able to graduate with a Tech Diploma. That what i think, only your counselor can verify this.

The only way they can, I think, reject a major is if you have problems passing regular classes, not regents; and it has to be more than one class.

For instance, in college applications they may not know what "Tech Diploma" literally per se means if you write it down as an accomplishment, however, the list of things you need to do in order to get that "bragging right" can and will make or break a number of things for you.

If somehow your employer went to tech, it might boost you. You never know what will impress a person, so try to get the most things.

It's the ulgiest piece of paper ever, the black and white high school diploma looks better than it.

A classmate in my USh class told me she knew someone who recently transferred from the Civil major to the Media major. I asked for a name, but she said she forgot his name, but she'd tell me if she found out. I talked to my guidance councilor about this, and she said she didn't hear anything about something like this happening, and she needed a name to find out more.

Does anyone know if someone actually did transfer from Civil to Media and if so, does anyone know his name?

You don't actually write "Tech Diploma" in your college apps, since you haven't graduated high school yet! The Tech Diploma's in my opinion, an accomplishment which you could look back upon. If you get a regular diploma, you might as well have gone to your local high school and enjoyed the far less rigorous schedule that Tech kids endure every day.

...nevermind, I went to see the teacher for AP Art Studio and she confirmed that this was false.
