I'm not sure if it's just rumors or more than that, but I think I've read somewhere that some countries (especially those that are subject to export restrictions) are using PS3 clusters in lieu of supercomputers (that they cannot easily purchase due to export restrictions). The PS3 literally can do everything and then some apparantly.

Oh yeah, and to get back on topic of PS3. I don't think that PS3 emulators would work well on PC. PS3's processor is still too good for PC's

It didn't have all the bells and whistles. It "just worked" and performance was surprisingly fluid. Of course, Sony bought it up from Connectix when they couldn't bully them through the law and promptly discontinued it.

Even though the prices do even out after you've had to spend all the money on XBOX Live, for offline gaming (which I originally intended to only do), the XBOX is a better deal.
