lol. Looks strikingly similar to Vista and previous OS in terms of layout and design, I THOUGHT THEY WERE GOING TO REDESIGN THAT. But I'm sure they'll have fixed problems on Vista and have what XP lacks. Read the comments on that, dunno, but some people aren't exactly happy.

Microsoft actually chose a challenge of hiring of a young child for a very important commercial.

Windows 7 should be good, it fixes some issues with Vista, which i use. Vista's capability mode does not work.

Windows 7 was the original project after XP, Vista was a spin off to have a version in between.

Quote

Originally, a version of Windows codenamed Blackcomb was planned as the successor to Windows XP (codename Whistler) and Windows Server 2003. Major features were planned for Blackcomb, including an emphasis on searching and querying data and an advanced storage system named WinFS to enable such scenarios. However, an interim, minor release, codenamed "Longhorn" was announced for 2003, delaying the development of Blackcomb.[10] By the middle of 2003, however, Longhorn had acquired some of the features originally intended for Blackcomb. After three major viruses exploited flaws in Windows operating systems within a short time period in 2003, Microsoft changed its development priorities, putting some of Longhorn's major development work on hold while developing new service packs for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. Development of Longhorn (Windows Vista) was also "reset," or delayed, in August 2004. A number of features were cut from Longhorn.[11]

From Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7)

I have read online that people like how the Beta Version is running, so it should be a good version.

Also the upgrade from Vista, should be smooth with out one having to reinstall everything; the files should not be erased.
