I'm pretty sure I've watched every episode of Stargate.
Each series.
All 316 episodes as of today.
All 3 movies.
The original, Ark of Truth, and Continuum.

So... Any other fans? :)

lol, I still have yet to actually meet another hardcore Stargate fan like myself... The only people I know who watch Stargate only watch it casually. :pinch:

I haven't watched every single episode. But I'm working on it. I've seen all three movies and plan to see most if not all of Stargate: Universe season 1.

Yay, another Stargate fan. :)

You can watch seasons 1-7 of SG-1 on Hulu for free... And I'm sure you can get more episodes through other means. :whistling:

Have you seen the series premiere of SGU? What do you think so far?

I've watched every single episode of Stargate, even the movies... the only thing I have not watched is the crappy cartoon Stargate Infinity. SG-1 and Atlantis was pretty good. I watched Universe the other day and it has a different feel to it compared to the other shows, and some people say it feels a lot like Battlestar Galactica. I'm sure we're not the only techies out there who like Stargate.

Oh I also have 8 seasons of SG-1 on dvd.. missing season 9 and Atlantis.

Oh god, Infinity. I remember back in early elementary school, when I started watching Stargate SG-1, I saw an episode of Stargate Infinity and I thought "Cool! A Stargate cartoon." But then I heard the theme song and I watched it for a while and I never went back to it.

I have to admit, when I heard they were canceling Atlantis and starting Universe, I was pretty mad. I thought Atlantis still had a couple seasons in it. The Stargate movies they're starting to make haven't been that great... They feel more like extended Stargate episodes than epic feature length movies, but hey, it's Stargate. I still personally believe the Stargate series' does better as a show than a bundle of movies.

I saw SGU on Saturday on Hulu and I still don't know what to think of it. It feels very different than SG-1 and SGA, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I heard this series would be a little less focused on adventure, so that was a little disappointing to hear, but I won't attack it just after the first two episodes.
It does have a BSG feel to it, what with the darker environment, old ship setting, and hand-cam style of shooting. I did have some problems with it though... Some of the hand-cam shots felt a little too weird and amateurish to me, like when they had that dinner scene back on Icarus base, the camera angle was in between some kitchen objects and that just felt... ...stupid (sorry, I couldn't find a better word).
And I heard that even though this series would focus more on survival than adventure, there would still be aliens in it, and that they'd be "truly alien"... So I'm looking forward to things like that. The base attack scene looked amazing, the look of the ships have improved greatly, and it looks like they've also improved the puddle effect of the stargate.
I still can't judge this show just yet, so far I've seen many pros and a couple cons, but I have high hopes for it and I'm reeeeally looking forward to the next few episodes.

Did you enjoy the series finales to each show? I thought they kinda rushed everything and the endings sucked. I remember the ending for SG-1 where they were stuck on the ship and aged through time and I thought it was a pretty lame ending especially since the Ori was supposed to be "super powerful like gods".

Replicators are badass.

The ending to SG-1 wasn't that great. I guess it gave us one last snippet of the characters' personalities, but that's it. I was expecting something much more grand and serious to end a series like SG-1... And the Ark of Truth, which was supposed to end the Ori arc, wasn't that great of an ending either. I wasn't fond of the fact that they mixed in a replicator threat in the movie, since this was supposed to be all about the end of the super powerful Ori enemy... You'd think they'd want all of our attention on the main bad guy instead of bringing back an old one.
And yeah, replicators are badass, but having more than one bad guy in a movie kinda waters down the whole thing (Spider-Man 3 is a perfect example of this), making it feel two different Stargate episodes meshed into one...

The ending of Atlantis was better than SG-1's ending, but still wasn't the best series finale it could be. I liked the fact that they upped the stakes, what with the Wraith coming to Earth, but it still didn't feel like a whole lot was at jeopardy. Ronon's fake death looked kinda retarded too... And the fact that they only talked about a bunch of battles that the Apollo and several other Daedalus-class ships had with the souped up hive ship was kind of disappointing. We also didn't get to see the wormhole drive! Booooo.

Edit;
I also can't believe they killed off the Asgard!
THOR, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

It's just not the same without a tiny gray alien there. :(

And I really want to know what's happening with Ori now. Since we've defeated the Ori, have we interacted at all with their enlightened followers?

Yeah, I feel the endings for SG-1 and Atlantis were a bit rushed too. The Ori are dead and their enlightened followers (if they had any) are dead with them. Adria is fighting Oma in an everlasting battle and stuff. It's a bit too early for me to judge SGU though. But it looks pretty promising.

The Ori followers are dead? I thought they all learned the truth when the Doci looked into the ark of truth and stuff... >.>

-Edit-
Sorry, I just got what you typed the second after I hit the post button.
When I said enlightened followers, I meant their regular, human, followers who learned the truth about the Ori. They made it pretty clear that the Ori never ascended anyone because then they'd have to share their power.
Seeing as how there are probably a lot of human Ori followers still alive, with a certain amount of understanding for the technology they use, wouldn't they share some of it with us for showing them the truth? After all, their shielding and beam weapons technology is a lot better than ours... I really hope they mention something about the Ori followers in the future.

I doubt that they're going to share their technology. I mean, we killed their "gods" so the Ori in the Milky Way are probably dead, either from killing themselves, or us killing them since they wouldn't stop their crusade. The only way to their galaxy is through a Stargate because it'll take an infinitely long time to travel there by ship. Besides, most of the people using the Ori technology probably thought of it as "divine magic" since the Ori were emphasizing the fact that they were gods.
It would be pretty cool if the Ori arc is brought up again though. Maybe SGU will make that possible?

But we didn't just kill their gods, we opened their eyes to the fact that they weren't worshiping the right people... We used the ark on the Doci and the Prior in the Milky Way, thus destroying their belief... But I don't know, I guess we'll have to wait and see. If they do bring up something about the Ori, it would be nice. I'm not sure if they'd say anything in SGU, since everyone's on a ship a couple galaxies away from the Milky Way, too busy looking for ways to survive... Although they do have those Ancient communication devices. I guess I'd be okay with just a small reference to the Ori in the next SG-1 movie.

It's basically about people traveling through the stargate to explore other worlds.

And did anyone see Air Part 3? The newest episode? GO WATCH IT ON HULU IF YOU HAVEN'TTT.

It wasn't the most exciting episode, but I still found it interesting.
That tiny swirling dust devil was a little weird... I wish they'd given us some more information about it instead of making us speculate about whether it's an alien life form or something.
Those 2 people who went to the locked out planet! Ouch, sucks for them, they're stranded and most likely, dead. They said the planet they went to was habitable, so I'd like to see why that planet was locked out in the first place... And I'd like to know what happened to those 2, but not knowing actually makes their fate sound a little more scary. X_x
And that ship that detached from Destiny... I really wonder what that was all about... It obviously wasn't part of the Destiny at all because the place it detached didn't have any kind of dock, it was just a clean, flat surface... No way of entering that little shuttle. And the design doesn't look much like an ancient ship (oval-like shape and red rockets)... So it looks like we've seen our first alien of SGU! (unless you count that dust devil)

I wasn't really a fan of that music bit at the end of the episode... I mean, the song sounded okay, but playing it over the little scenes kinda felt weird... I hope they don't do it too much.
