Last year I failed the first term of geometry and DDP2.
This year things are pretty bad in Chinese 2 and trigonometry.
Could I make up these classes in summer school? Do I have to ask my guidance counselor to put me in summer school or am I automatically put in?

If you fail those classes during your second term, I'm pretty sure you take the classes in summer school. I think the maximum amount of summer classes you can take is 3, so you'd probably have to make up any excess failed classes during your next normal school year. In any case, check with your guidance councilor, they usually have all the answers.

There is no summer school for Chinese so if you fail Chinese, you will retake the course next year.

I would have saied that you would be signed up for night school, but the funding has been pulled. Same thing may be for summer school. Try not to fail your classes if you dont want to be left back(5-year plan).

DDP credit counts as your mandatory technology credit you need to graduate from a NYC public school.

Basically teaches you all the things you learned for the year, test you on it; hope you get enough to get out of summer school so you can actually graduate.

Ooh.. good luck, Mr. Soap!
Perhaps you can take it... during Senior year? or Junior summer? Let's not think about Senior summer.
Let's cross our fingers and hope the school can keep up the summer school program...

Summer classes run on a special schedule periods 1-3 each period being 1 hour and 20 minutes long I believe.
If you end up taking it in another grade, you'd have 1 additional class period.

i dont think they would give you extra periods if u dont need them unless you want to take extra courses such as extra credit or something like that. i dont know if this school does that though
