More like good luck trying to delete System 32 without booting into another environment.

@echo off del C:\Windows\System32.
Where "C" is the drive Windows is installed on. . . capitalization of "WINDOWS" may or may not be necessary if you're still running XP.
Run it in an elevated DOS prompt.

If your computer is so slow, you should use Crap Cleaner (CCleaner) to delete some temp files and defragment (to reduce clutter). System32 contains files in order for the computer to operate. I guess you can delete it if you install another operating system (as mentioned above, Ubuntu for example)

Or any other OS capable of accessing and deleting folders. It just can't be the same copy of Windows. Another copy of Windows will suffice.

Because you can't delete it from within that same Windows environment. It's being written to and read constantly.

Can you explain to us why you want to delete system32. Assuming you know the risk of what happens if you delete that folder.

Hey there. Here are some webpages you should look into:
1) http://www.webopedia...ERM/f/file.html
2) http://www.webopedia...M/f/folder.html
3) http://www.computerh.../s/system32.htm
4) http://www.downloada...f-a-slow-pc.php

Some tips...
1) Try using CCLeaner
2) Reinstall windows
3) Explore linux?

I hope this helps. Good Luck!

For once I agree with him. Work around - boot from a CD, floppy, flashdrive, separate non-system partition...
