You can't even if you drop it. There is just not enough funding to run AP Psych for those not required to take it. Perhaps you should look into CUNY and their college now program during the summer to earn college credit by taking Psych 1001

What other AP are you looking to take?

Im thinking about taking Ap literature and composition, ap economics and goverment, and ap calculus AB. I would rather get some college credit than be in a major which im not going to pursue in college.

The classes you mentioned can all be taken without dropping your major. They are core classes and you would be taking them anyway - instead, now at a higher level.

You must choose between AP Econ and AP Govt because both classes are only 1 semester in duration and are only offered in the fall semester.

AP Everything else is not part of your core class. You can opt to take some if there is room, others are reserved for majors only. For example, you wouldn't take AP Psych if you werent in SSR (although some IAS kids did choose it and were granted placement).
