IAS was eliminated because the College Board requirements for the APID required too many mandated classes in certain subject areas. Hopefully, college prep will allow you to take more classes and allow more flexibility in programming as well.

Part of College Prep is taking 4 years of Math and 4 years of Foreign Langauge.

There are PLTW Engineering courses built in as well. Its not that much different than IAS but it differentiates in the way that you don't need the "international" component anymore for the APID.

I think Tech lacks a Business Major. If we had a business major, goodbye Stuyvesant. The kids would flock over the bridge to come over to us. But lets not get into that.

It's not anymore
What you do need in CP is passing 4 years of technology
passing 4 years of language
and passing 4 years of math or science at Tech

"AP courses in the humanities are not impacted by this choice of major and enrollment is available for qualified student in AP English and AP History courses."

Don't worry you'll learn everything tomorrow :P

I didn't really understand the electives part of it. So if you want to choose an AP that you want like; AP Bio or AP English, you get in automatically, no questions asked? Also, how is the PLTW Engineering course, easy, hard, bad teachers etc? How about the senior technology classes? And why does it say 4th year of language in Junior 2nd term, what if you're not done with third year yet? I'm thinking CP is going to be my first choice.
