What exactly happens?

I know we get our schedules and the teachers tell us what they want for that class but what else?

You come in the 7th, go through a full day. Then we're off the next two days. First week success.

This.

Honestly what do you expect to happen? It's school, you'll get the gist of what you're supposed to do and the rest is self explanatory.
Oh if you get a really mean teacher don't make the mistake of thinking that he/she will change after some time. :( Done it too many times, usually how a teacher acts within the first few weeks is how he/she will act for the rest of the year.

8th.

And usually we have a pool party on the roof for all incoming students right after 9th period.

The rapid (or slow for some) process of quickly making friends, and adding them on Facebook/Aim, assuming you/they have all those social network whatnots.
You also get used to having the life of a techie, for some it takes longer.

Well, lemme tell you it is now exceptionally less thrilling since you now know what you already knew but wanted to confirm. While the basis of this forum is of school related questions, questions have become empty now that you cant just type on a key board and the answer will come to you. Its better to experience it without any previous information. Just check it out. Life is thrilling without a million apps on your ipod.

What this guy said, let's just toss all the freshmen into Tech without any confirmed information or knowledge of what to do and let's see what happens.

It'd be a bloody first day.

Most freshmen are already clueless as it is. Best let at least a handful of students know half of what's going on within the school so they won't do anything wrong.

I never really found the situation to be that bad... except the first few weeks at lunch that is. I like what ironlak said though, take life as it comes. Just come into school, follow the instructions given to you, go to prefect, get your schedules and head out to your classes. If you have any problems with finding your class than simply ask any upperclassmen or a teacher to help you out.

well it doesn't hurt to get a little heads up. When you come in, you will go to your prefect and you will get yourself adjusted to the school about an hour before your upperclassmen come to school. After prefect, you will go to the class your supposed to have and meet your cluster. You will be with your cluster for the whole year in almost every class, so get to know at least one person in it.
It will be pretty awkward, since after the 1st day, we have 4 days off and don't come back till monday
Finding a place to sit at lunch will be hectic, especially with everyone trying to find their friends the first week (underclassmen and upperclassmen). After the first 2-4 days, your homework will pile up. Honestly, the first day is the only day you might get a break. You will find that some of your teachers will give you a ridiculously hard test (esp. in math) around the second day to see what you know.

Good Luck! Oh and if you get stressed or confused, you can come to the pool on the roof and chill out or ask somebody a question.
You can't expect to do everything, but there is everything to be expected.

I heard that they renovated the pool this summer, anyone know anything about that? Someone mentioned that a 2nd jacuzzi was added.

There is always the option of going to the library during your lunch period. It's more quiet then the lunchroom during my past experiences, and plus, there's air conditioning! Just make sure to come early cause they only allow a limited quantity of kids to come in, like 100. Plus, you can sign up to be a library monitor during your lunch period for 8 credits per term.

I'm not sure if "more quiet" is the correct term for the library... More like "less noisy".

..."but still fxcking noisy".
