It seems that my daughter is only one student in the entire school who did not receive her schedule in June. She got it on the first day. Well, I'll keep it in mind when fill out Lunch Application. I won't fill it at all.

Nobody knows. I've been trying to figure it out but it's a top secret. Who the h... they pick first? Students with 85 for subject A, 86 for subject B and teacher's recommendation, meaning they meet 3 requirements or would they prefer students with 95 for main subject A plus recommendation. Why this process is hidden?

We didn't receive our full schedules, we just received a sheet with the classes that we requested. For example, if I requested volley ball gym for my senior year, that's what it'd show on the list of classes in June. But if I was unable to be placed in volleyball, on my official schedule that I'd get on the first day of school I'd have another gym (weightlifting, judo, etc). I'm not sure why you wouldn't fill out the lunch form, it could positively benefit you and your daughter if she qualifies for free/reduced lunch.

It'll be a "revenge" against the school. Seeing that lunch forms tell how many students there are in the school, telling the DOE to send Tech how much money/budget.

If you don't fill out your daughter's lunch form, she won't be able to obtain fee wavers for AP exams, college applications, ACT/SAT exams, etc.

It is frustrating to deal with the lack of communication and the process, but I think everyone on this forum explained everything very clearly. Make the best of your situation and move on. Your daughter will definitely be in an AP next year, as all majors have one.
As was said before, the lunch forms are important for fee waivers and school funding (this funding keeps AP classes, clubs, teams, etc running). Just fill 'er out

I understood it. It was a tentative schedule, whatever it was now I think she was lucky not to receive it, because having one temporary sched and then another one different from first just add more confusing. At least we did not have such headache.

Not getting a schedule in June has nothing to do with filling out a lunch form. They are two separate issues and I think you should treat them as such. Filling out a lunch form draws in 3.5 million federal dollars a year if we qualify for Title I. Consistent with previous years, the principal has believed that we qualify for Title I, but we can only confirm that if we get 100% submission (if we don't qualify then oh well but we won't know unless we get 100% back) - we qualified last year and that drew in massive funding for Tech giving the administration the ability to preserve teaching positions and student services.

Well its too late to cry over spilled milk now. I guess your daughter can try looking out for it again at the end of the year - or even asking friends to see if they got anything via email.
It's not even a temporary schedule - it is just a list of classes that you are expected to be programmed for. Classes that you applied to and received and should show up in your fall program if all goes according to plan with scheduling.

Actually not only students and alumni use this site, if you refer to the first or second page, our principal, Mr. Asher, answered her questions as well.

Unfortunately, I had very memorable experience last year when I brought papers to school and was given wrong directions of what to do with them, after that I spent a lot of time fixing the problem. Eventually, they lost those papers. Some other issues had also happened. So I don't trust the school at some matters. I dont mind to sound offensive though.
Thanks to everyone.

Speak to Mr. Marc Williams - Assistant Principal of Student & Parent Engagement. He is very helpful and will be able to direct you to the right people in the school to get your questions answered. Mr. Williams is also very reliable. You can make an appointment with him by email at mwilliams@bths.edu or calling his office at 718 804 6442 - that is his direct number to his office phone. He is there from 10AM - 5 PM.
Good Luck with everything.
