Kind sirs, I am currently enrolled in advanced algebra/trigonometry this year.  Mind you, I did not bother applying to honors, as I was quite busy.

Am I permitted to take ap calculus next year, during which, I will be a junior, or must I be stuck with inferior minds in pre-calc?

Priority is given to Trig honors students (at least it was last year), but if you do really well in trig I'm sure you have a good chance at getting into AP Calc next year.

You can apply to AP Calc at the end of the year, no clue on whether or not they'll accept you however.

If you do well in Trig, you prob will have a likely chance. My friend was in regular Trig last year but is in AP Calc this year. It also comes down to how many spots are available too.

Yes it's possible as many have pointed above. Priority isn't given to Honors students because I was in honors and denied AP Calculus.

If priority is not given to honor students, then the math department probably uses your math average to determine whether or not you get in

That is a determining factor - see the policy on the school website for admittance into AP / Honors Courses.

You are able to choose from AP Calculus AB (one period), AP Calculus BC (double period), AP Statistics, or just regular Calculus.
