Applications for Freshman Student Government are now available for 2010-2011.
Fill out the application and hand them in to the Student Activities Office.
Deadline: Wednesday, October 6th, 2010.

As SGO Representatives, you are the voice for your student body. You will have the power to do the following on behalf on your fellow students:
-Maintain, distribute, and allocate budgets for the 150 Clubs and Teams at Tech-Explain, interpret, and improvise current school policies to fit the needs of the current student body-Meet with the school administration to give them a better understanding of what the current student body desires. This means that you'll be able to with with various Assistant Principals, the Principal himself, and even the COSA Mr. Kaelin and work side by side with them to improve the school.-Plan and execute school wide events or events for your class. This ranges from Dances, to Talent Shows, to Fundraising Events for good causes!!-Gain leadership abilities and public speaking skills-Gain time management skills-Gain organizational skills-Looks great on your resume and college application
If you are the kind of person that likes being in charge and taking initiative to get something done, this is the place for you!Although we have meetings often, we work as a team and a family. The bond that SGO Officers share is just incredible and the friendships that you will make will last you even beyond your high school years!
