Make OUR School Better!

the jist of it is... you, the students of BTHS, are getting aggravated by many different things in our school. as an executive of SGO i thought that having a list of things to fix would make my life easier when i start looking for things to fix. i want you to post all things that you have a problem(please have it in a numbered list) and then skip a few lines and write some suggestions for your list of grievances.
If anything already exists, we'll tell you. if it doesn't I'll try to make something happen.
one rule though, please read all the posts before your own, EVERYONE hates repeats.
if you have suggestions for a certain problem that is different than the suggestions already posted, please post it with a quote of the problem.

I took a look at several of them, they're in really bad condition, it looks like it went through a stampede.

no 10 day schedule
less students (i realize that money's involved, but how much are we willing to sacrifice?)
department wide tests for all subjects at the end of a term (like the LOTE department, so "unfair" teachers are in a "checks and balance" like system)
double period labs
8th floor locker renovations (what is the point of the cuboidal lockers? they are space wasters; replacing them with roomier lockers will also reduce theft)

like having mr. joe for bio
and having mr. joe for bio lab
would be nice
that can be a VERY bad thing, although it can also solve many problems.
i don't know exactly what i can do to fix/help this but i will try my best to find something out.

this is something that we spoke about in SGO and SOME ideas came around, but the bottom line is... as long as your classmates keep leaving crap around, tables will look like they do now.
any suggestions of how to fix it?

Now when you say "we" are you referring to SGO or the alumni association?

The thing is, no one likes to stay behind and make sure others throw away their trash, especially when they run the risk of being late for class. But then again, this only applies when only a small amount of people "police" others.

I'm referring to SGO - an alum of SGO rather.

You don't have to stay behind. No one is telling you to sweep the halls and make sure people are throwing their stuff out. . . If you're sitting in the halls and you see a friend come by and throw an apple on the ground, say something like "hey, chill with that man" - you don't have to say "Dear Sir, please dispose of your garbage immediately"

-People having lunch 8th, class 9th should have a 1-8 schedule instead of 2-0
People with a 1-8 schedule and have last period lunch could instead chose to leave school and get their own lunch then rather eating the food the school called "lunch" in the cafeteria.
-Letting the Handball Team use of the roof.

it is understood but not explicitly stated that people with 1-8 and lunch 8th may leave after 7th
some of the schedules are the way they are, because certain classes only go on at certain times

dont know if this was foe me to comment on, but seniors might be able to use the roof this year for lunch (as long as they meet some requirements
