And I'm checking atm. It's either the Brooklyn Hospital, or some other hospital that some of my friends go to.

Some hospitals requires you to be 16 and older and requires you to undergo a health screening to check for any diseases or illegal drug use.
For accurate information, find the official website of the hospital your willing to looking for and look under volunteer. If you can't find details, try contacting them through phone or email.
You can use these to get an idea of what to expect when you volunteer.
