Depending on WHERE you volunteer, working papers are MANDATORY. It takes just a few minutes to get working papers. Even if you don't need them in the end, it will come in handy when you are applying for a summer job that pays.

Usually there's a huge stack right when you walk in on the left, on a bookshelf, and it says "WORKING PAPERS." if there's none under the sign, just ask anyone in the room.

Thanks. Does this apply to all hospitals?
And I'm checking atm. It's either the Brooklyn Hospital, or some other hospital that some of my friends go to.

No it does not.

Some hospitals requires you to be 16 and older and requires you to undergo a health screening to check for any diseases or illegal drug use.

For accurate information, find the official website of the hospital your willing to looking for and look under volunteer. If you can't find details, try contacting them through phone or email.

You can use these to get an idea of what to expect when you volunteer.
