Tech Senior Football Captains Mazaharul Islam, Michael Plonski, Igor Grekov and Phillip Choe played their last home game against Erasmus Hall Campus on Sunday.

After the coin toss, Tech had to kickoff. On the first series, Tech allowed a touchdown, but stopped the 2-point conversion.

When Tech got the ball back, Kevi Shyti threw an interception. A few series later, Tech turned the ball over on downs.

Even with all of the turnovers, the defense kept Erasmus from scoring again in the first half.

Tech got back into the game in the second half but neither team scored in the third quarter.

Trailing 6-0 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, Tech was still confident in a fourth quarter comeback. But their hopes were shattered when Erasmus scored two touchdowns.

On one series, the defense stopped Erasmus but off the punt, Raul Torres made contact with the ball but did not recover it. Erasmus was able to pick up the loose ball and continue their offense at the 5-yard line.

The defense was unable to stop Erasmus as they walked into the end zone. The Tech defense would stop the 2-point conversion.

After a 21 yard kickoff return by James Gales, Shyti threw a 60 yard pass to Mazaharul Islam for a touchdown. The 2 point conversion was dropped.

Off the onside kick, Tech recovered the ball but Shyti was sacked twice on the drive and Tech was forced to punt.

Erasmus Hall Campus went on to win 20-6. Tech finished the regular season with a record of 5-4. They are ranked 11th in PSAL and will be playing in the PSAL Football Championship Playoff Bracket.

Kevi Shyti was three for five, for 75 yards, and an interception. Gino Nadela had 12 carries for 43 yards. Raul Torres had three rushes for 29 yards. Michael Plonski had 10 tackles, one for a loss, and one sack. Igor Grekov had nine tackles. Mazaharul Islam had four tackles and a sack. Rene Modeste had six tackles, one for a loss, and Thomas Plonski had six tackles, one for a loss.

Tech will be playing Thomas Jefferson High School in their first playoff game Saturday at noon. Jefferson High School's Field is located at 12508 Flatland Avenue.

This will be the second consecutive year that Tech Football will be in the Championship Division Playoffs. Tech lost to Jefferson in a close Week 4 game which had a score of 40-38.
