As you know our school already has an FLL (FIRST lego league) as well as an FRC (FIRST robotics competition) team. These two teams both come from FIRST which is a program to help kids get involved in all different kinds of robotics from elementary school to high school. http://www.usfirst.org/
There is one part of FIRST that our school does not have, it is an FTC team (FIRST Tech Challenge), you can call it a combination of both FLL and FRC to some extent, but it is still different from both of these. http://www.usfirst.o...csprograms/ftc/
Here's the page to learn more about FTC.
My friend and I are thinking of trying to start up a FTC team, yes we're on FRC now and we know how FIRST works and we have the shop to be able to work on it.
We want to know if you guys would be interested in joining it or if you had any questions.

Also, the team can have a maximum of 10 members. So dedication is required....

How many days a week? It'd be quite hard to find 10 people who are TRULY dedicated and able to show up 5x a week for a year (just an example).

I would say it would be about twice a week normally, and possibly every day right before competition (if we really need to work more)
FTC is kind of like a gateway to FRC. Since our school's FRC team has 60+ members it's hard for freshmen and new members to really work on the robot, it's mostly the veterans. Many of our new members would be more interested in FTC since it's more hands-on. As well as people who don't have the time to dedicate to FRC everyday but are still interested in robotics.
