AP Exams and Fee Waivers

Fee waivers will also be posted on the homepage.
AP exam registration ends January 15, 2010!!
Those who have not submitted lunch forms will not be eligible for fee waivers, even if you are entitled to free/reduced lunch.
Also, those who are turning in lunch forms now will not be eligible for fee waivers. The deadline for all lunch forms to be submitted in order for you to get fee waivers was November 30, 2010. (This doesn't mean you shouldn't turn them in! We NEED them!)
Good luck!
Note: The links and details will be posted up on the bths.edu homepage during the next few days.

A couple of questions:
Do I have to pay anything?
When BTHS.edu asks you to put in credit card info, will it charge $400 on the card or what? When are the fee waivers taken into effect?
Why are APs $100.30 each? I don't remember it being that much last year.....

The people inside of GO store said that registration will be online and payment will be at GO store.
APs are $87. Credit card payments will be charged 5% for processing.
Fee waivers, ACCORDING to the site, are already applied. Your payment status will be marked as paid.
So, yes, you pay nothing.

Yes. It will. And you must indicate ALL 4 exams when you fill out the form in the GO Store or you will not be registered. You'll know it when you see the form.

You need to read the posting again. That is NOT what it says to do at all.

Wait so you can just go to the GO store and ask for the fee waiver? (I have free lunch). Which means I don't pay anything for the exam right?

Don't ask for the fee waiver, ask to sign up. According to the site, everyone with free/reduced lunch would be marked as a 'paid' status already.

But if you read the original posting about AP exams, it clearly indicates that the GO store is not involved at all in the fee waiver process this year. Things are different this year, and if people clearly read the posting on the site, then all the questions should be answered. The store is mobbed enough as it is lately without having to answer the same question 1000 times a day when everything you need to know is right in that posting.

According to upperclassmen, those with a "free" status are already signed up and registered for the exam.

Only students who submitted lunch applications that were approved for reduced or free lunches are electronically registered for the appropriate Advanced Placement Examination based on current courses that are taking.

These are all so confusing and conflicting...
"Electronically registered" does not mean that it's automatic.
"marked as paid" does not necessarily mean registered.

Yes.
I really really really wish the person who wrote that posting actually straight out said that students with "free" status are already registered.
Hope this cleared some things up.

The message was very confusing and the language of it was arbitrary. The students win on this one.

Students with:
-free/reduced lunch- you are automatically registered for all the APs that you are taking classes for.
-full lunch status- must pay for all your exams in GO store.
If you did not hand in a lunch form, you must pay for all your AP. You should still hand in a lunch form if you haven't done so but you are no logger eligible for fee waivers.
A list will be provided as the AP dates get closer for you to check if you were waived or if you paid already.
