Hello, 

My name is Francesc from Amplify Sports and Entertainment and I am reaching out to introduce a great opportunity for students from your school in 11th and 12th grades to apply for a scholarship awarded by MetroPCS. MetroPCS is the presenting sponsor of the SNY Invitational, a high school basketball tournament that will be held this coming winter in Brooklyn, NY. The tournament will be a two day live televised event held at Long Island University Brooklyn Campus on Friday, January 28th and Saturday, January 29th, 2011. Participating schools include Rice High School, Boys and Girls High School, Mount Vernon High School, and Saint Anthony High School. The event is open to the public and tickets are free of charge, and provide a great community event with fabulous giveaways and wonderful entertainment. 


MetroPCS Leaders & Scholars program: 
The MetroPCS Leaders & Scholars program has returned for 2011. In conjunction with the SNY Invitational, the MetroPCS Leaders & Scholars program awards scholarships to New York City’s best and brightest students. MetroPCS will award twenty (20) $2,500 scholarships to students that excel in the classroom, volunteer their time to help others and work toward bettering their community. Students will be able to apply to MetroPCS’s Leaders and Scholars scholarship by visiting www.snyinvitational.com. Please note that the scholarship application will close on December 15, 2010.
