I know I'm only a freshman, but I want to know something about the architecture major. Is it mandatory to be amazing in math? Also what do you do in this major and in this major, do you do a lot of things like what you do in DDP? What type of projects do you do and what is your schedule like? I know its a lot of questions but I don't know anything about this major and I do see any topic on the forums.

You need high math and science grades to get a decent chance of getting in. That's what they're looking for.

Its totally different from DDP. Much more difficult and complicated, in addition to building small models of buildings and desgins.

We use AutoCad to make 3d models and drawings instead of what you freshmen uses... AutoDesk

For major projects, the teachers gave us a good month or two to finish. You'll have to work with a partner and present your project to the class.

The homework assignments are pretty difficult, but we usually get more than a month to finish. For me right now I have to research small cities built my famous architects make three maps and layout of the city. Also creating a list of buildings that will hold 1000 people and the proper measurements of each building. Usually do them at the last second so w/e

Make sure to get a locker because it's a pain carrying your project around all day.

Also, check this page out with all the majors: http://bths.edu/majors.jsp

Classes for specific majors may deviated (replaced with more modern and intuitive courses) by the time you get to choose your major but this is the most current and updated information.

You can check out what classes Architecture offers - compare and contrast with other majors to seek your own interest in the next year and a half!
