In this group would try to fully secularize the government, but mainly the school systems. If anyone is interested, please reply.

An example of the school system not being secular is the Pledge of Allegiance, which goes as follows: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." This has been deemed by the Supreme Court as ceremonial deism, but the phrase is still offensive to people who are not monotheistic. It also creates pressure for people to stand up and pledge allegiance, therefore having them become allied with a nation that claims to by under God. It isn't an open minded phrase, and it doesn't do any good telling people that the nation is 'under God', especially from a teacher in school.

Don't stand up and say the pledge. Only Freshmen do it.
None of the seniors ever bother standing up, lol.

I don't stand up for it... it's been beaten out of habit by not standing up when we're taking a test...
that, and the announcer gives me... uh.. ugh.

Standing for the pledge isn't mandatory, even if a teacher asks the students to get up you don't have to.
