So I failed Trig the 1st semester and you're required to get 6 credits for math during your 4 years in high school. Failing the 1st semester means no credit for the class, does that mean I can make it up in the 2nd semester or do I have to retake the course next year?

You may have the option to repeat the course during summer school (pending budget as always). If not, you will have to repeat the course next year. I would take the summer school option if it is offered to you. Speak to your guidance counselor to see what your options are currently so you can plan accordingly for your summer. If the summer school option is unable at the moment, ask when a decision will be made and when you should return to their office to get set up for it.
