On Saturday, Brooklyn Tech showcased its track team at the Brooklyn Borough Championships and what is in store for outdoor season. Both the girls and boys team had good results.

The Tech girls team did not disappoint in any of the events. In the 4x400 meter run, 4x800 meter run, 55 meter run, 3000 meter run, 1500 run, 1500 race walk and 600 meter run, Tech had runners place in the top 10. The Tech girls showed non-stop dominance, resulting in a second place finish out of all Brooklyn teams, outdone only by Medgar Evers Collage Preparatory School.

The Tech boys finished with a strong run. In the 1000 and 1600 meter run Tech placed in the top 20, in the 3200 Tech placed in the top 5, in the 4x800 relay Tech placed in the top 10 and in the 4x400 Tech placed top ten. The Tech boys track team placed fifth out of all Brooklyn schools only being edged by Midwood, Transit Tech, Thomas Jefferson and Sheepshead Bay.

Freshman: Mirza Uddin, River Bunkley, Kenneth Rodriguez, Talysia Francis, Isis Whyche, Rebecca Baron and Shadae Yiadom ran strong races to show that Brooklyn Tech has a strong future in track.

The Indoor Track Brooklyn Borough Championship was a success for Tech. Tech shows continued talent and progress not only in indoor track but also in cross country.
