hey guys! So what do you think about the movie Avatar? I really like the movie and I was wondering if you guys can come up with any awesome sequel ideas.

I heard something about J.Cameron taking Avatar to different Alpha Centuri moons and perhaps, maybe even taken the story to the deep sea floor.. what do you think?

I never liked the idea of sequels. If you make a huge hit, why take the risk of destroying it by making a sequel?

I agree with you Shariful, the movie itself was better as a stand alone, if the up coming sequels are not as great, then JC might ruin the title.
But you never know, Star Wars was a great success.

Yeah, but come on, that's Star Wars. Legendary storyline and all. Avatar's still a relatively new movie.

Hopefully it isn't one of those sequels that just have a hit movie title, but its a totally different movie, plot, and characters. Which kills the entire movie and everything its built on. Like the movie "Stomp the Yard" or "Step Up" the sequels kilt the movies!!!

Harry Potter had six sequels. Seven if you count parts one and two as separate movies. Yet, they're doing fine and they haven't been "destroyed." I'm not comparing Harry Potter to Avatar, but it's possible to make more than you did for the original movie.

Like many fans, I am hoping they will be successful. The movie was so good!

Well... that's up for opinion, but I won't get into that. There's a chance it'll be a success, and there's a chance it won't. It's hit or miss, and many movies have missed.
